Since 1994 JFNew has operated a full-service native plant nursery in Walkerton, Indiana. This 130-acre operation—which has nearly 30 acres specifically in wetland plant production—provides seed and plant material for restoration and native landscape projects in the Midwest and beyond.

The JFNew Native Plant Nursery has more than 225 native species in production and more than 500 individual genotype-identified seed lots. We grow plants in irrigated seed-production fields within a wide variety of soil types. To measure our seed’s yield and crop performance, JFNew uses detailed tracking systems, including global positioning system (GPS) technology.

With nearly 360 native species in stock, 2,200 square feet of seed storage capacity, and 74,000 square feet of greenhouse capacity, JFNew has the resources and knowledge needed to assist you with your ecological restoration or native landscaping projects.
