The Clean Water Act regulates discharges of pollutants to waters of the United States. Two sections of this law, Sections 401 and 404, are used to regulate activities in wetlands.
Cardno JFNew has extensive experience with both Section 401 and 404 permit processes. We have strong relationships with the regulatory agencies that administer the Clean Water Act. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and pertinent state agencies are among those we work with regularly as we help advise our clients on current regulations.
When needed for permit conditions, we identify appropriate wetland or stream mitigation options and prepare mitigation designs that are reasonable in scope and cost while yielding the highest probability of success. Our full-service approach and experience in designing, budgeting, and successfully implementing mitigation saves Cardno JFNew clients time and money.
