Our clients include energy companies, land conservationists, land developers, transportation authorities, nonprofit organizations, federal leads, and state and local governments. Whatever the needs of your project, Cardno JFNew has the expertise to help you achieve your desired goals.
Land Development
Every site has unique opportunities for conservation. When natural systems are preserved, restored, and integrated into site design, development projects can achieve multiple benefits, including reduced maintenance costs, less energy consumption, and aesthetic amenities.
Cardno JFNew is a leader in integrating natural resource management with land development. We have implemented a wide array of stormwater solutions and ecosystem restoration activities. Whether you are creating a residential development, expanding a corporate headquarters, or developing a new or commercial industrial facility, Cardno JFNew has the experience to help our clients meet regulatory requirements--or to create spectacular, award-winning projects.
Transportation & Other Linear Corridors
Highway enhancement and expansion projects are complicated--and sometimes controversial--and require addressing myriad agency and community concerns. In addition, corridor projects often span several jurisdictions, so many regulatory requirements must be met.
Cardno JFNew assists clients with identifying and addressing natural resource issues. From state-level departments of transportation offices to district and county highway departments and the engineering firms working for these entities, we perform permitting, RTE species surveys; wetland determinations and delineations; wetland mitigation and restoration; prairie and wetland plant and seed installation; and maintenance and monitoring.
Energy
Often large-scale endeavors that span multiple states, energy projects are complex to plan, design, and implement. Compliance with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) regulatory requirements and the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) in the early stages helps keep projects on track and on schedule.
Cardno JFNew performs site and corridor assessments for energy providers and transmission companies. This service includes all aspects of wetland and water body permitting; threatened and endangered species surveys; avian and bat studies; invasive species control and management; and construction oversight specific to ecological or cultural resource needs. Cardno JFNew works with Federal, state, and local agency staff to consult with our clients so both project goals and regulatory requirements are met.
States and Municipalities
Cardno JFNew works with state and local parks departments, conservation agencies, and public works officials to create livable communities and public spaces. We help communities identify those resources that make them unique places, and help them preserve, conserve, and enhance those assets.
