Many projects involve understanding complex and multiple ecosystems on a large scale or over a significant period of time, with the goal of developing a successful habitat conservation or restoration plan and implementing a long-term site management program.
Cardno JFNew has continuing relationships with clients who have projects at multiple locations, that span more than one state, or require specialized ecological expertise. Our experience in resource planning and management, which is strongly connected to our ecological assessment expertise, allows us to provide services at various project stages for projects that cover multiple states or significant acreages.
Ecological Screening

To develop a successful plan, Cardno JFNew determines what resources are present, using various tools including desktop review, GIS/GPS data analysis, and field visits to ground truth the data.
Conservation Plans

In response to the outcome of the ecological screening, Cardno JFNew develops plans to protect on-site resources and maintain their function and aesthetics. We have particular expertise in watershed management plans.
Restoration Plans

When resources have been impaired, Cardno JFNew creates plans that restore natural resources to their full function, including wetlands, shorelines, etc. We use various ecosystem restoration tools to achieve conservation goals.
