A Note from the President
Cardno JFNew was founded on a commitment to quality environmental stewardship. Part of this includes giving back to the communities in which our team members and clients live and work.
We support initiatives in our corporate hometown, Walkerton, Indiana, as well as surrounding communities at our other office locations. From the annual Coast Guard Festival, held in Grand Haven, Michigan, to board-level involvement in local conservation organizations and environmental nonprofit organizations, Cardno JFNew staff takes an active roll in making our communities better places to live and work.
We are particularly proud of our involvement in three specific organizations: 1% for the Planet, Chicago Wilderness, and the Jimmy F. New Foundation. In addition, Cardno JFNew has a strong commitment to safety, ensuring our team continues to work in a safe environment.

1% for the Planet
The Cardno JFNew Native Plant Nursery is a member of 1% for the Planet, a growing global movement of companies that donate 1% of their sales to a worldwide network of nonprofit environmental organizations. Started in 2001, 1% for the Planet includes more than 1,300 corporate members and 2,000 environmental nonprofits. Chicago Wilderness
Chicago Wilderness is an alliance of 240 organizations that champions biodiversity and its contribution to the quality of life in the urban, suburban, and rural areas of the Chicago Metropolitan region, which extends from southeastern Wisconsin through northeastern Illinois into northwestern Indiana and southwestern Michigan. Jimmy F. New Foundation
Established in 2003, the Jimmy F. New Foundation is a 501(c) (3) nonprofit foundation that honors company founder Jim New’s commitment to conserving natural resources. The foundation’s mission is to provide resources to increase the knowledge, awareness, and conservation of native habitats and natural communities.

Safety
The safety of our employees is a top priority for Cardno JFNew, ensuring all staff members are properly trained and prepared to handle any given situation they may encounter on a daily basis. We incorporate a strong safety culture at Cardno JFNew with education, planning, accountability, and rewards. Cardno JFNew and its internal Safety Committee make sure our staff have all the necessary resources available to maximize their safety on the job.
