Description
This shall include exposure to a wide range of duties including: project scoping, and budgeting, research, fieldwork, laboratory analysis, and preparation of reports and consultation documentation.
Participate in generating project proposals and budgets, including logistics and schedules.
Perform archaeological fieldwork tasks including: pedestrian walkover; controlled surface survey; shovel test survey; and excavation.
Cleans, packages, and labels artifacts recovered from inventories and excavation.
Participates in the Section 106 process including documenting consulting between agencies and interested parties and preparing relating consultation documents including Memoranda of Agreement. Achieves this through ongoing projects and mock case-studies.
Assists in preparing reports of archaeological investigations.
Qualifications
Undergraduate coursework in Anthropology, Archaeology, History or related Field; and a completed field school in archaeology.
Strong communication and organizational skills. Computer literate.
A Junior or Senior in college preferred.
