Description
Mentor less experienced staff:
Senior staff are expected to mentor less experienced staff by providing general and technical guidance. This may be through formal participation in other project manager's projects or less formal avenues. Participation in the company's QA/QC process will be important.
Business/fiscal management:
Senior staff are expected to proactively identify and pursue potential business opportunities; They are expected to actively work to increase profitability wherever they see the opportunity across JFNew.
Relationship building:
Senior staff are expected to maintain contact with existing clients to discuss current and future business opportunities. They are also expected to take an active role in meetings with potential new clients to sell JFNew's services.
Contract and proposal preparation:
Senior staff are expected to be able to develop and cost technical proposals within their area of expertise.
Qualifications
Master's degree in Ecology or related science field or equivalent on-the-job experience. Specific certificates or licenses may be required depending on specific position requirements. These may include PWS, CDL, drivers license. Thorough understanding of applied ecology or restoration ecology. Specific expertise may also be required in botany, fisheries, wildlife, project management and other areas as required. Seven years or more years of experience related to position's technical specialty.
